One Team Singapore Rally - Orchard Pedestrian Night

Many might have mistaken that we are still immersed in post Chinese New Year mood when we took the train down to Orchard Road in vibrate red coloured tops (like red packets) yesterday. Nope! In fact, we went for our first and last Pedestrian Night to support our athletes who are taking part in the upcoming 28th Sea Games (5 - 16th June 2015) in our homeland.

As we celebrate Singapore's 50th year of independence, it  is extremely meaningful and significant for the Sea Games to be held back home for the fourth time.

Crowds started to fill the street as soon as the event kicked off at 630pm. Delightful to spot our favourite Milo trucks who were there to provide energy drinks to the public.

We penned down our wishes for Team Singapore!

Apart from experiencing the fun sport activities in the middle of Orchard Road, we had the opportunity to be up close with the Team Singapore athletes! Denver & Gladys had a game of basketball and they were honoured to have a group photo taken with the players from the Basketball team. ^_^ Denver is almost the same height as me and you can imagine how tall they are!

Many supporters also took pictures with the Dragon Boat team.

The main highlight of the rally would be the lighting up of the 28th Sea Games Arch and the unfurling of the largest Team Singapore flag, measuring 10m x 7m. The street turned into a sea of red as the flag was passed along Orchard Road

It was a night of fun and we wish TEAM SINGAPORE All the Best! Go for the GOLD!
