D'Laksa (No Pork, No Lard - Original Penang Laksa) @ KSL City

If you are a frequent shopper/diner at KSL City, you probably did not miss out this Laksa stall located at the lower ground floor (near the escalator) of the shopping mall. Within metres and you can distinctly scent the strong spicy aroma emitting from the stock of the Laksa pots.

D'Laksa serves delicious Penang Assam Laksa that is not only well-like by the locals but also among Singaporeans. Business is so brisk that there are always queues. Do not be deceived by the limited number of seats near the stall. To accommodate to more customers, there is another shop space further down (near Watson) where diners can sit down and enjoy their bowl of laksa.

D'Laksa ~ Original Penang Laksa - RM 5

What's so special D'Laksa? Hubby and I finally decided to order a bowl and try. Just looking at the ingredients within seems appetizing. The dark sauce at the top might be prawn paste. Give it a good stir and the entire flavour is enhanced.

The noodles are chewy and I particularly enjoy having sardines within the laksa. The thick laksa stock stole the limelight. Although it was a little spicy for me, the sourness and sweetness is just right. A mouthful of noodle, sardine, lettuce, cucumber and onions taste splendidly! To date, it is my favourite Penang style laksa.

If you could not travel down to Johor Bahru, you may spot D'Laksa at local food fairs. :)
