Pilot FriXion Light Series Highlighter Collection

[Review]

When Pilot launches its FriXion pen series years ago, I am totally awed by its thermo-sensitive ink technology offering users a smooth writing experience and allows you to write, erase and repeat multiple times. I find it extremely useful as the rubber stud at the end of the pen allows the ink to be erased easily and I do not need to carry correction tapes for the mistakes that I made. Our first review for Pilot FriXion Clicker Pens years ago have been awesome and it is still as good as ever!

Following the increasing popularity of the FriXion series due to its functional usability, Pilot launches the latest addition of six new soft pastel colours to the Pilot FriXion Light highlighter collection including:
  • Soft Green
  • Soft Orange
  • Soft Blue
  • Soft Yellow
  • Soft Purple
  • Soft Pink

Adding to its current collection, now there are more colours you can pick to add a zest of life to any dull document! Whether it is bright fluorescent colours or soft, gentle pastel hues, it is perfect for everyday use at work, home or school.

My children find the highlighters extremely useful for their school work, and engaging in fun activities like puzzles. The colour ink is easily erasable and they don't have to worry about over highlighting. Most importantly, the ink does not bleed through the paper and the reverse side of the paper remains intact.

One point to note is highlighting over pen and then erasing it may smudge your writing. At times, it may leave a faint mark but it is not really noticeable.

Apart from highlighting, I love to use them for adding colours to my doodles.  Its erasable, easy to use, and the colours are vibrant.

The highlighter shares the same ground-breaking thermo-sensitive ink that facilitates highlighting and erasing by friction (at 65°C) - making over-highlighting text a thing of the past with this convenient technology.

However, due to its erasable feature, it is also strongly not advisable to use Pilot Frixion ink on documents where writing needs to be of permanent nature such as legal documents, examination papers and cheques.

I am loving the trendy-looking Pilot FriXion pens. With the new pastel colours, the Pilot FriXion Light comes in a total of 12 different colours and is available at all leading stationery retailers from August 2016. The Pilot FriXion Light retails at S$1.10 each, with sets of three and six retailing at S$3.30 and S$6.60 respectively (before GST).
