If you have been around Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, you probably would have notice an outstanding black cafe uniquely created from a modified container. With a couple of tables and stools placed outside the counter, you can sit down and enjoy a cooling drink within the famous cultural street in Johor Bahru.
Chaiwalla - a homegrown brand is the first container cafe in Malaysia since 2012
It's unique setup definitely sets itself apart from the other bubble tea shops and attract curious crowds. Checking on its menu, it serves a variety of beverages including Thai Milk Tea, Vietnamese Coffee, latte, fresh milk and smoothies.
Interestingly, you can customize your drink by selecting the base, flavour, toppings and sweetness. I love the variety of flavour and toppings you can choose from.
Thanks to the recommendation from Keith (Eco B&B), I ordered Tea with Vanilla flavour and Yogurt Pops topping (RM 8.80). Hubby decided to go for his favourite Mango flavour with Nata De Coco (RM6.80). Both drinks are extremely rejuvenating especially keeping us refresh on our long drive back home across the causeway.
The children love the yogurt pops as it pops in your mouth with the yogurt juice oozing out tantalizing our taste buds further. ^_^ We will definitely be back again for another cup on our next visit.
